Shrine of Br. Joseph Thamby, Servant of God
Thousands of devotees come from far and near to Thamby’s tomb at Pedavutapally to venerate him, to reflect on his life, to thank and praise him, and to pour out their woes and difficulties to him. This constant flow of devotes to his tomb obviously implies the presence of a great and benevolent power, which is clearly perceived by simple and confident devotees as something heavenly.
Pilgrims come this grave throughout the year irrespective of caste and creed especially on the celebration of Thamby’s death anniversary and its eve, on the 13, 14 and 15 January. They come to pray for his help. Manifold petitions are made before Br. Joseph Thamby; to be healed from sicknesses, to get an employment, for recovery of lost person and articles, to get children after several years of married life without issues, to be secure from financial crisis and unjust exploitation and so on. Many of the pilgrims are free from worry and haste and spend two or three days at his shrine quite peacefully. They are confident that Br. Joseph Thamby will certainly bless them.

Br. Joseph Thamby, holy man of Pedavutapally in the diocese of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was born in September 1883 in Tamilnadu, lived as Perpetual Franciscan Tertiary. He came to the state of Andhra Pradesh in 1939. He lived an exemplary life of which we still remember and honour him till today. He died on 15 January 1945. He was declared 'Servant of God' on 24 June 2007.

This is an altar found just infront of the Tomb of the Servant of God. On the wall you find the Crucifix, photograph of Br. Joseph Thamby and on the left and right is the prayer for Beatification in English and Telugu respectively.
Charismatic prayers are conducted here on every saturday evening. Holy Eucharist is celebrated every Saturday morning and on many occasions.
This is the house of Br. Joseph Thamby, Servant of God. It is built with his own hands and well preserved till today. Prayers are offered here by lighting the candles infront of his photograph you find inside the house. People take the mud from the house and have a strong believe that many miracles and healings take place through using that mud taken from here.

This is the Museum of Br. Joseph Thamby. Here some of the things used by Br. Joseph Thamby, Servant of God are preserved and many other things dedicated to the Servant of God.
This is the old age home we find in the campus. There are inmates upto 80. They are fed and taken care of. Also there are many others who come to the home to be fed. Indeed a great service being rendered to the people of God who are abandoned.
